About Us
Our
Philosophy
Eastlake Planning is a fee-based financial planning firm founded with the goal of making comprehensive, holistic financial planning accessible to people from all walks of life. We specialize in working with young professionals, growing families, and those entering retirement.
Our approach begins by helping clients articulate what it means to live a fulfilling life. We have found that for many, this includes spending time with friends and family, personal and professional development, philanthropy, spirituality, and travel.
Our method allows us to identify the factors that may hinder clients from creating these experiences in the present, rather than putting them off until retirement. We believe financial planning is not the end-goal, but rather a process to encourage our clients to live their best lives today. We aim to provide a unique, thorough, client-driven experience that establishes lifelong relationships.
Evan McDaniel, CFP®
CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional
Ever since he was a child, Evan has been passionate about helping others. He initially enrolled at the University of North Texas as a civil engineering major, but after three challenging years, he realized that it wasn't a career path he felt called to pursue. He then switched to finance and began his career in 2013. Together with Jocelyn, he founded Eastlake Planning to provide a unique and value-enriched experience to those he works with.
Evan, his wife Kathleen, and their two children, Maeve and Cooper, live in the Lake Highlands neighborhood of Dallas. Apart from work, Evan enjoys long-distance running, playing golf, and gardening. Above all, Evan cherishes spending time with his family and golden retriever, Lucy. Evan and his family are parishioners at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Lakewood.
